Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption is a 2006 real-time strategy game developed by Petroglyph and published by Lucas Arts.

Modes and Gameplay

Star Wars Empire at War comes with the following modes: campaign, galactic conquest, skirmish, and multiplayer.

Campaign mode deals with the crime lord Tyber Zann's intergalactic adventures. Tyber Zann is the former associate of JABBA THE HUT. Galactic conquest mode provides you the opportunity to feel the full wrath of interplanetary warfare. Skirmish gives the thrill of battle both in space and on land. Multiplayer builds on the experience of playing in the Star Wars universe with your friends and family. In the multiplayer mode, password only games are displayed using orange and locked games are displayed using red.

The main motivation of the game is intergalactic takeovers. You will be able to conquer planets and resources, use them to build armies, and then go into battle to win more planets.

Visuals and Sound Effects

Due to the improvements in graphics technology over the last decade, Star Wars Empire at War looks visually dated today. But it still provides a nostalgic feeling for the Star Wars universe. You can play with authentic weapons and vehicles from the original movie. Also, the music from the original movie keeps you entertained.

One of the places this game shines is the space battles. During the space battles, the visuals and sound effects come together to create the kind of cinematic experience that the fans of Star Wars enjoy. But the geometric shapes in the land battles are graphically unappealing. Also, the land battles seem chaotic during gameplay.

Conclusion

The Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption is a great selection for RTS fans with a nostalgia for the old school strategy games. The movie storyline may be the entry point for this game, but it is the space and land wars that will keep the fans fighting to the next level.
